HyperDrive 10W/30 CJ4 is a high performance multi-grade engine oil incorporating advanced additive technology in superior synthetic base stock. 10W/30 CJ4 designed for the very latest Euro VI engines with lower viscosity to give greater FE+ than 10W40. Low SAPS, if you use AdBlue, you will also need to use Low SAPS Engine Oil in your vehicle. Low SAPS Oil is simply oil that has low levels of Sulphated Ash, Phosphorous, and Sulphur.
It is a requirement in any diesel vehicle fitted with a DPF (diesel particulate filter) to use one of the ‘low SAPS’ engine oils.
ACEA C ratings:
1. C1 Low SAPS (0.5% ash) fuel efficient.
2. C2 Mid SAPS (0.8% ash) fuel efficient, better suited to higher performance engines.
3. C3 Mid SAPS (0.8% ash) less fuel efficient, even more in favour of performance.
You need to use Low SAPS oil because Sulphated Ash, Phosphorous, and Sulphur are all substances that can build-up and block your vehicle’s DPF. This is why it is important to have an oil that is low in these substances, to avoid blockages.
